In a statement issued on Monday by SERAP deputy director, Timothy Adewale, the organisation has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to prosecute the sacked Babachir Lawal and Ayodele Oke . Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has welcomed the decision by President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the suspended Secretary to Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir Lawal, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mr Ayodele Oke. The partnership between the Nigeria government and that of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have began to yield benefict as the UAE government has decided to reveal to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) a list of Nigerians with loot stashed in the middle eastern country. According to the Nigerian Senate, over $200 billion is hidden in Dubai. The EFCC has already began sifting through the list which includes high profile politicians, bankers, oil executives and other politically exposed persons. The EFCC says it is already monitoring the movements of 22 such individuals who spend most of their time in Dubai. A source who claimed anonymous in the EFCC said that the list may eventually be released to the public after investigations are concluded.
