Google and Facebook are fighting over this 21 year old
Michael Sayman was hired by Facebook for an internship when he was 17 years old, and had a full-time engineering job at 18.
This 'wunderkind', who turned 21 last week is now ditching Facebook for Alphabet Inc.’s Google.
Sayman will be Google's youngest product manager, working for a voice-based service built on the search engine’s giant database, known as 'Assistant'.
Assistant is a top priority for Google CEO Sundar Pichai as the company is working to embed the tool across a range of its own products and on other companies' devices, facing stiff competition from Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri.
Stint at Facebook
At Facebook, he was a product manager who helped the social-media giant understand how his generation uses their phones, advising on experimental products for teens and helping executives understand trends.
A self-taught genius
Facebook brought Sayman to the limelight, who taught himself to make mobile apps at the age of 13 by looking up tutorial videos on Youtube.
